PICTE-HIV Project


Objectives

Our purpose with this project is to create an educational program for intervention in the field of sex education, which is innovative, current and dynamic, being replicable and adaptable to the different contexts and local realities involved, and with potential for transferability to other European contexts. In this sense, it is important that the program be developed in articulation with the work already done by local organizations that intervene in the field of education and health, and organizations that will play an important role in the dissemination of the practices produced.

PICTE-HIV is an educational project aimed at children, youth, teachers and health professionals, and aims to:

- Implement a sex education program focused on HIV / AIDS prevention, and create a manual of good practice for educators and practitioners working on these issues.

- Contribute to the development of the quality of educational practices in the field of sex education. systems to support employability;

- Increase the availability of educators and health professionals to the importance of sex education in a preventive logic

- Increase the knowledge of young people about infectious diseases, promoting healthy behaviors and attitudes.

- Promote cooperation between different entities from different countries in different areas of intervention (NGOs, public agencies, companies)


Results expected:

Professionals / Educators - Promote and develop sex education among professionals / educators, providing them with knowledge that facilitates the transmission of adequate and scientific knowledge among young people - Sensitization of educational contexts as one of the privileged contexts for the promotion of a healthy adult life of its students. - Improved comprehensive communication in the field of sex education in schools which in turn can effectively facilitate parents and students to be more comfortable in approaching the subject. - Raising awareness of the best tools and methodologies for developing skills in children and young people.

Children / youth - Equip children and young people with knowledge in order to make responsible choices about their sexual and social relationships. - Promote healthy attitudes and behavior among children and young people, enabling young people to make responsible and safe choices. - Reduce involvement in risk behaviors, developing key skills for this through the training program created and developed in this project
