Organisation Name: Stowarzyszenie Nowa Kultura i Edukacja
1. Background and Principles
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding all children involved in our activities. This policy is grounded in the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), the Digital Services Act (DSA), and national child protection laws. We recognise that all children have the right to be protected from harm, abuse, and exploitation, both online and offline.
2. Safe Recruitment of Staff and Volunteers
We ensure that recruitment procedures for staff, volunteers, and interns are transparent and prioritize child safety. All candidates working with children must provide a clean criminal record, submit references, and undergo interviews that assess their suitability for working with children. All offers of engagement are subject to satisfactory vetting checks.
3. Behavioural Code of Conduct
All staff, volunteers, and visitors must adhere to our Code of Conduct when interacting with children. This includes avoiding one-on-one situations in closed spaces, maintaining appropriate physical boundaries, respecting children’s privacy and dignity, and reporting any concerns immediately.
4. Reporting Procedures
We provide clear mechanisms for reporting safeguarding concerns. All staff are required to report any suspicions, allegations, or disclosures of abuse to the designated safeguarding officer. Reports can be made confidentially via email, phone, or in person. Each case will be documented, investigated, and acted upon in accordance with our procedures and local legal obligations.
5. Training and Continuous Learning
All employees, volunteers, and interns receive child protection training during onboarding and at regular intervals. Training covers recognising signs of abuse, appropriate responses, online safety, and reporting protocols. Safeguarding knowledge is updated regularly to reflect best practices and legal changes.
6. Monitoring and Review
This Child Protection Policy is reviewed annually and after any incident. We seek feedback from children, parents, and staff to improve our safeguarding measures. Adjustments are made to respond to new risks or experiences.
7. Transparency and Accessibility
This policy is publicly available on our website and shared with all stakeholders. Information is presented in a child-friendly and age-appropriate manner to ensure it is understood by children and families. Translations or simplified versions are provided when necessary.
